CITY OF CALAPAN — A total of 77,125 individuals have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in this city, according to Mayor Arnan Panaligan in a text message on Sunday.
This number is 73.62 percent of the target population of 102,050 earmarked for herd immunity in the city. This represents 70 percent of the city’s total population of 145,000.
As of December 10, the total vaccine doses administered is 168,212. Total individuals vaccinated with single dose is 98,120 or 96.15 percent of the target.
At least 383 healthcare workers and senior citizens have received a booster dose.
The city reached its lowest number of active cases on December 9 with only eight COVID-19 cases recorded.
Since the pandemic broke out last year, the city has logged a total of 3,055 COVID-19 cases, of which 12 are active, with 2,921 recoveries and 122 deaths, data said Saturday.
