BACOLOD CITY––The city government caught four travelers from Manila on Tuesday at a port here for allegedly using fake COVID-19 vaccination cards.

A traveler from Manila heading to Himamaylan City was also caught at the Bacolod Silay Airport with a fake negative RT-PCR test result.

Zeaphard Caelian, Negros Occidental Provincial Incident Management Team head, said the Himamaylan resident had been quarantined and his case referred to the Provincial Legal Office for action.

Em Ang, Emergency Operations Center executive director, said they also referred the case of the four travelers with fake Bacolod COVID-19 vaccination cards to City Legal Officer Joselito Bayatan for action.

The four with Sagay City addresses have been swabbed for COVID-19 and are on home quarantine.

Ang said travelers who do not have Bacolod COVID-19 vaccination cards are required to present vaccination certificates from the Department of Health or Bureau of Quarantine.
