Pagasa: LPA outside PAR being monitored; may develop into storm
MANILA, Philippines — A low pressure area (LPA), which may develop into a tropical depression, is being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), the state weather bureau said Friday.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the LPA was located 1,945 kilometers east southeast of Mindanao.
While it has no direct impact on the country yet, it may develop into a tropical depression by Sunday and enter PAR on Tuesday.
