Senate eyes law to identify social media trolls

Social media platforms should be compelled to expose the identity of online trolls who are sowing hate speech and falsehoods, Sen. Franklin Drilon proposed on Thursday.

The senator made the proposal during the hearing on Senate Resolution No. 953, chaired by Sen. Francis Pangilinan to probe social media trolling. —MELVIN GASCON
