BAGUIO CITY—Police in this city rescued Wednesday 10 women from an alleged prostitution den after raiding a nightclub at the Marcos Highway.

The victims, between 26 and 40 years old, worked at the Pharazuz Bar and are temporarily residing in the city, investigators said.

Roldan Mangila Dela Cruz from Caloocan City and Louie Jamora Macatuno from Las Piñas City were arrested during the operation.

The suspects face criminal charges for violating the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003 and the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2012.

The rescued women were put under the custody of the local office of the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
