MAN FACES ILLEGAL RECRUITMENT CHARGES

CHARGES were filed in court against a man who purportedly duped six persons into working abroad although he has no authority to do so.

William Medicielo will be facing trial on charges of large-scale illegal recruitment.

No bail was recommended.

In his resolution, Asst. City Prosecutor Ernesto Narido found probable cause to indict Medicielo.

Narido took into consideration the receipts of payment signed by Medicielo.

One of the complainants, Rochelle Wong, gave P175,000 to Medicielo upon the latter’s demand.

Medicielo told Wong that the amount was to be used for processing her documents and other fees.

However, Wong was never deployed.
