MANILA, Philippines — Nearly two million US-made Moderna COVID-19 vaccine doses were delivered to the Philippines on Monday afternoon.
The government-procured doses, totaling 1,497,200, arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) Terminal 1 around 3:30 p.m., according to a livestream of state-run PTV.
As of Dec. 2, the total COVID-19 vaccine doses delivered to the country was 146 million.
The government is currently administering vaccine doses to minors aged 12 to 17 and booster shots to health workers, senior citizens, and persons with comorbidities.
Moderna vaccines can be used for minors and booster shots.
