6 of 8 Aurora towns now COVID-free

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga––Six of the eight towns in Aurora province are now free of COVID-19, the provincial emergency operations center disclosed on Sunday, Dec. 5.

The capital town of Baler, Dilasag, Dinalungan, Dingalan, Dipaculao, and San Luis now have zero active COVID-19 cases.

So far, the province has only three active cases – two in Maria Aurora town and one in Casiguran.

On Sunday, Aurora registered no new cases, recoveries, and deaths.

Since the pandemic began last year, the province had recorded 3,636 COVID-19 cases, of which 3,399 had recovered while 234 died.

The provincial government has advised residents to continue observing minimum health protocols like wearing face masks, frequent hand washing, and physical distancing.
