MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga––Police arrested a suspected drug peddler who allegedly yielded some P714,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation Sunday, Dec. 5, in this city.
In a statement, Central Luzon police director Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay said members of the regional, provincial, and city drug enforcement units arrested Alexis Morete, 43, at Madapdap Resettlement Center in Dapdap village.
Baccay said the police confiscated from Moreta nine sachets of suspected shabu weighing 105 grams and recovered the marked and dusted real and P1,000 bill and play money used in the sting operation.
Charges for violating Sections 5 and 11 of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspect.
