4 Pampanga towns now COVID-free

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga – Four towns in Pampanga are now free of COVID-19, according to the latest provincial bulletin.

As of Saturday, December 4, the municipalities of Sasmuan, Apalit, Minalin and San Luis  have zero active COVID-19 cases.

This city and 16 other towns in Pampanga also registered zero new cases as the active cases went down to 88 from 167 a week ago.

Mexico town has the most active cases with 19, followed by Floridablanca (18), and Guagua (13).

The province recorded three new cases, six recoveries and no deaths on Saturday.

The new cases were reported here, in the City of San Fernando and Santa Rita town.

Pampanga has recorded a total of 46,554 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic broke out last year. A total of  43,987 have recovered while 2,479 died.

Angeles City, a highly urbanized locality which is politically independent of Pampanga, registered zero new cases, a single recovery, and no deaths on Saturday. Its active cases stood at nine.

Only four of its 33 villages have active COVID-19 cases as of the same day.

Since the pandemic last year, the city has registered a total of 12,543 cases, of which 12,015 have recovered while 519 had died.
