Over 400,000 jabbed against COVID-19 in Ilocos on nat’l vaccination drive

LAOAG CITY, Ilocos Norte—The Department of Health (DOH) in the Ilocos Region surpassed its target for the three-day national COVID-19 vaccination rollout from Nov. 30 to Dec. 1.

The regional DOH targeted inoculating at least 252,240 individuals. The actual turnout was higher by 57.40 percent as it jabbed 439,371 individuals from the 408 facilities vaccination set up across the region.

A total of 59,117 individuals were vaccinated in Ilocos Norte, 64,467 in Ilocos Sur, 63,535 in La Union, 240,999 in Pangasinan, and 11,253 in Dagupan City, according to the DOH.

Over 78 percent of the 3.7 million target population in the region had received at least one dose of the vaccine, while 45 percent had been fully vaccinated.
