MANILA, Philippines — COVID-19 active cases in the Philippine National Police (PNP) have dropped to 43 after six new patients recovered from the disease.
According to the PNP’s Public Information Office (PNP-PIO), only four new patients were recorded as of Thursday.
None of the infected patients have died, with the number of COVID-19 deaths in PNP remaining at 125.
All in all, the PNP has recorded 42,201 confirmed COVID-19 cases, of which 42,033 are recoveries.
The low COVID-19 incidence within the police force has been attributed to high vaccination rates: As of November 10, the PNP said only 1.23 percent of the organization’s total strength remains unvaccinated.
In contrast, 91.27 percent or 204,728 are fully vaccinated, while 7.50 percent or 16,833 vaccinees are waiting for their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
