MANILA, Philippines — The senatorial ticket of presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and vice presidential bet Sara Duterte-Carpio is already full and will be out very soon.
This is according to Marcos Jr.’s sister, Senator Imee Marcos, who also claimed that many candidates were dying to be part of the tandem’s slate.
“Nung last kong kausap marami kasing nagpapakamatay sumali so nag-iwan ng puwang,” the senator said in an interview in Ilocos Norte on Tuesday.
According to Sen. Imee, there were at least nine names of candidates when she first saw the list but some have later defected to the Marcos-Duterte tandem.
“Ngayon mukhang buo na pero ire-release nila sa lalong madaling panahon,” she said.
( I think the slate is complete now but they will release it as soon as possible)
“Wala pa akong permisong mag tsismis eg,” she added.
(I’m not at liberty to disclose it yet.)
So far, only former presidential spokesman Harry Roque has been named part of the Marcos-Duterte slate.
Marcos Jr. belongs to Partido Federal ng Pilipinas while Duterte-Carpio currently chairs the Lakas- CMD party.
The two political groups have recently forged an alliance with Duterte-Carpio’s regional group, Hugpong ng Pagbabago, and Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino being headed by former President Joseph Estrada.
