Ilocos region hits 289,766 COVID-19 jabs on 2nd day of nat’l vax drive

LAOAG CITY, Ilocos Norte—At least 289,766 people were vaccinated Tuesday against COVID-19, the second day of the three-day national vaccination drive, according to the Department of Health (DOH) in the Ilocos region.

This official figure on the second day was 54.4 percent higher than the number jabbed Monday, which was 157,636, the DOH data showed.

The DOH quick count under the Vaccine Operation Reporting System at 6 a.m. on Wednesday showed 39,045 individuals vaccinated in Ilocos Norte, 43,153 in Ilocos Sur, 45,495 in La Union, 156,603 in Pangasinan, and 5,470 in Dagupan City.

The region targets to inoculate at least 252,240 from Nov. 29 to Dec. 1.
