MANILA, Philippines — The color pink flooded the streets of Makati City as supporters of Vice President Leni Robredo gathered to show their support for her presidential bid in next year’s elections.

The “Unity Walk with Leni” started along Makati Avenue and ended at the Makati Park and Garden.

“Sa darating na halalan sa 2022, haharapin natin ang isang laban para sa kinabukasan ng ating mga anak at ng ating bayan,” the group Makati for Leni 2022 said in a Facebook post.

(In the elections of 2022, we will face the fight for the future of our children and our country.)

(We believe that this fight will be won through our candidate for president, Leni Robredo, so that the family of robbers, abusers power, and traitors to the country will not return to power.)
