Oil companies roll back prices of gasoline, diesel

MANILA, Philippines — Oil companies rolled back anew the pump prices of gas and diesel on Tuesday as renewed fears of yet another variant of the coronavirus triggered a slump in demand just as economies were beginning to reopen.

In separate advisories, Chevron, Petron and Shell cut prices of gasoline and diesel by P1.10 per liter and P0.60 per liter, respectively, effective Tuesday.

This is the 13th week of gasoline price cuts and the 11th week for diesel this year. Petrogazz and Seaoil likewise cut prices at 6 a.m. followed by Cleanfuel at 8 a.m.

Kerosene prices also went down by P0.50 per liter, the 17th time it declined this year. Fuel prices since January have recorded a total net increase of P17.20 for diesel, P16.65 for gasoline and P13.15 for kerosene.
