MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte gave milk tea beverages to vaccinees who joined the government’s national COVID-19 vaccination drive in an Antipolo mall on Monday.
Duterte, together with presidential aspirant Senator Christopher Go, could be seen handing out milk teas to vaccinees during the launching of the inoculation program in SM City Masinag in Antipolo, Rizal.
In his speech during the launch, he reiterated his call for the public to get vaccinated against the coronavirus, noting that a whole-of-nation approach is important to win against COVID-19.
“On this note, I call on every Filipino for your continued cooperation in fighting against COVID-19 by getting vaccinated and continuing to follow our minimum public health standards,” he urged.

The government is conducting the three-day national vaccination program from November 29 to December 1. It aims to immunize nine million individuals.
Another vaccination drive will be held on December 15 to 17, the National Task Force Against COVID-19 earlier said.
The government is targeting to immunize 54 million Filipinos by year end.
As of November 28, the country has fully inoculated 35,678,774, accounting for 46.25 percent of the target population. Meanwhile, 45,430,089 people or 58.89 percent of the target have received their first dose.
