LAOAG CITY, Ilocos Norte—The province of Ilocos Norte logged zero new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, Nov. 28, provincial government data shows.
The province also recorded on the same day seven new recoveries, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases to 47.
The province’s average daily attack rate is at 1.25 per 100,000 population, the Department of Health said.
Its average weekly COVID-19 cases dipped to 2.4 between Nov. 19 and 26 from 5.1 in the previous week, Ilocos Norte government data said.
At least 11 of the 23 towns and cities in the province remained to have zero COVID-19 cases on Sunday. These were Pagudpud, Dumalneg, Adams, Carasi, Solsona, Nueva Era, Marcos, Pinili, Badoc, Currimao, Pasuquin.
In nearby Ilocos Sur province, Gov. Ryan Luis Singson on Saturday said the towns of Nagbukel, Suyo, and Sugpon also registered zero active COVID-19 cases.
Singson said all towns and cities in the province had a downward trend in cases, which he attributed to the ramped-up vaccination drive.
