Over 113K doses administered in first hours of national vaccination drive
MANILA, Philippines — COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered to over 113,000 individuals during the first several hours of the country’s three-day national vaccination drive.
The National Vaccination Days progress tracker posted on the Department of Health (DOH) website showed that 113,399 doses have been administered as of 1 p.m.
The government is mounting a national vaccination drive from Monday, Nov. 29, until Wednesday, Dec. 1.
The drive targets nine million inoculations, lower than the government’s initial target of 15 million vaccine recipients.
To achieve the goal of immunizing 54 million Filipinos against COVID-19 by year-end, the National Task Force against COVID-19 and the National Vaccination Operations Center said another three-day national vaccination day will be held on December 15 to 17.
