MANILA, Philippines—In line with the centennial of Pasig Catholic College (PCC) next year, the public is invited to join “Bike & Run 2012,’’ an advocacy run and bicycle fest for clean air, on April 29.
The event is organized by the PCC Alumni Association Inc. and the Kumbento 88 Alumni Association Inc., the high-school class hosting the centennial celebration, in partnership with the Pasig City government.
The activity kicks off a series of K88 projects leading up to the 100th anniversary of the PCC in February 2013. It is open to bike enthusiasts, runners or anyone who believes in keeping the urban environment healthy and conducive to short-distance travel on foot or on bikes.
Assembly is on April 29, Sunday morning, at the Frontera Verde (Tiendesitas) commercial area, Pasig City. Fun run participants can join the 1K, 3K, 5K or 10K races.
The run starts at 4 a.m. for those doing the 5K and under, and 3 a.m. for the 10K run and bike fest.
