MANILA, Philippines — Generally fair weather is expected to prevail throughout most of the country on Monday, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
However, a shear line is expected to bring cloudy skies with thunder and rain in Cagayan.
“Sa natitirang bahagi ng Luzon generally maaliwalas ang panahon. Mainit at maalinsangan sa ilang laugar lalo na sa bandang Legaspi at Palawan subalit may tiyansa pa rin ng mga ilang pulo-pulong dagliang pagulan na minsan may kasamang kidlat at pagkulog,” said Senior Pagasa weather specialist Chris Perez.
(In the rest of Luzon the weather is generally clear. It is hot and humid in some areas, especially in Legaspi and Palawan, but there is still a chance of some islands of sudden rain, sometimes with lightning and thunder.)
The entire Visayas and Mindanao will also experience hot and humid weather as well as rain especially in the afternoon and evening caused by localized thunderstorms.

Metro Manila: 24 to 30 degrees Celsius
Baguio City: 16 to 24 degrees Celsius
Laoag City: 23 to 33 degrees Celsius
Tuguegarao: 22 to 30 degrees Celsius
Legazpi City: 25 to 31 degrees Celsius
Puerto Princesa City: 24 to 32 degrees Celsius
Tagaytay: 21 to 28 degrees Celsius
Kalayaan Islands: 24 to 31 degrees Celsius
Iloilo City: 26 to 32 degrees Celsius
Cebu: 25 to 31 degrees Celsius
Tacloban City: 25 to 32 degrees Celsius
Cagayan De Oro City: 25 to 30 degrees Celsius
Zamboanga City: 24 to 32 degrees Celsius
Davao City: 24 to 31 degrees Celsius
Meanwhile, due to the effects of the northeast monsoon or “amihan,” a gale warning is raised in the northern seaboards of Luzon, specifically in Batanes, Babuyan, Cagayan, Isabela, Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur.
