CITY OF MALOLOS––Police arrested a tricycle driver from Quiapo, Manila after he yielded two kilos of “shabu” (crystal meth) worth P13.6 million during a buy-bust operation Friday in front of a school in this city.

Brig. Gen Matthew Baccay, Region 3 police director, identified the suspect as Abubakar Sandigan, 31, alias “Kapatid.” Sandigan was presented to the media after his arrest.

The shabu was found inside two Chinese tea bags during the operation in front of the Tikay Elementary School.

Col. Christopher Leano, chief of the City of Malolos police, said a companion of Sandigan identified as alias “Ali” escaped aboard a motorcycle.

The police carried out the operation based on intelligence information from residents.

The suspects were reportedly behind the series of illegal drug operations in Caloocan City and Bulacan. INQ
