Dilasag town in Aurora province now free of COVID-19

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga––One of the eight towns of the coastal province of Aurora is now free of COVID-19, the provincial government disclosed on Wednesday, Nov. 24.

Data from the provincial health office showed that Dilasag town had zero active cases since Nov. 13.

San Luis town also had zero active cases from Nov. 13 until Nov. 24 when it had a single new case.

The town of Dipaculao was free of COVID-19 from Nov. 12 until Nov. 18, when it had one new case.

In its latest bulletin, the provincial government said the capital town of Baler and the towns of Casiguran, Dilasag, Dinalungan, Dingalan, and Dipaculao recorded zero new cases Wednesday. Maria Aurora registered three, while San Luis recorded a single case on the same day.

With no new recoveries on Wednesday, Aurora’s active cases stood at 19.

Maria Aurora has the most active cases at seven, followed by Dingalan at five, and Baler and Casiguran at two each. Dinalungan, Dipaculao and San Luis had one case each.

The province has recorded 3,633 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began last year. Of these, 3,382 have recovered while 232 have died.

As of Tuesday, 64,534 individuals, or 64.1 percent of the 160,889 target population, have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, while 30,791 residents have received the initial dose of the vaccines.
