MANILA, Philippines — The Lucio Tan Group, Inc., led by its President and COO Michael Tan, turned over an upgraded high performance data center fully equipped with mega servers and other hardware components to University of the Philippines (UP) Computational Science Research Center (CSRC) College of Science.

Tan said this Core Computational Facility or “UP Data Commons” would further strengthen the capacity of the University as a leading research institution in the Philippines dedicated to the science of high performance computing and computing-related research activities towards scientific and engineering breakthroughs.

From 10 gigabit capacity, UP’s computing facility was upgraded to 400 giga bit, Tan said during the turnover ceremonies on November 19, 2021 with UP President Atty.
