MANILA, Philippines — Over 91 percent of persons deprived of liberty (PDL) in the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) detention facilities nationwide have been vaccinated against COVID-19.

Allan Iral, director of the BJMP, said on Monday that 114,570 out of 125,082 PDL have been inoculated in the 467 BJMP-controlled facilities as of Nov. 21.

“We are continuously exerting efforts to ensure that all PDL under our care will be vaccinated,” Iral said.
