Guidelines set for tourists from ‘green’ countries

MANILA, Philippines — The government will soon issue guidelines covering inbound foreign tourists from “green list” countries and returning Filipinos from “yellow list” countries, Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat said on Monday.

Puyat said a small technical working group on travel was already finalizing the terms and conditions for allowing foreign tourists and returning Filipinos.

“They started discussing the details [on] Friday. Hopefully, by this week, [the guidelines] will be approved including the conditions so we can implement it soon so that when Christmas comes, it will be a happy one,” she said.
