Turkish national stabbed dead by wife in Laguna
LUCENA CITY––A 63-year-old Turkish national was stabbed and killed Sunday by his wife in Los Baños town in Laguna province, police said Monday.
The Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) police reported that Fetullah Yaldizci was having a drink around 8:45 p.m. with his wife Fatma Vivas Yalditzci, 32, in their house in Barangay Tadlac.
A heated argument ensued between the two, leading Fatma to repeatedly stab Fetullaj on his chest and stomach using a kitchen knife.
The victim died on the way to Healthserv Los Baños Medical Center.
Police Staff Sergeant Alvin Jade Apolinario, the case investigator, said the two are legally married.
“Nagdilim ang paningin ng suspect dahil sinasaktan ng victim ang kanilang anak (The suspect was blinded with rage because the victim was hurting their child),” Apolinarion said in a phone interview Monday morning.
He said the suspect did not leave the house after the incident. She was arrested and is now under the custody of the local police while an investigation continues.
