MANILA, Philippines — Generally fair weather with chances of rain due to localized thunderstorms is expected to prevail throughout the country on Monday, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
The chances of light rain in parts of North Luzon, according to Pagasa senior weather specialist Chriz Perez, is still because of the prevailing northeast monsoon, locally known as the “amihan.”
“Sa natitirang bahagi naman ng Luzon mainit at medyo maalinsangan sa ilang lugar pero may tiyansa pa rin ng mga ilang isolated rain showers na dulot ng mga localized thunderstorms lalo na sa dakong hapon at gabi,” said Perez.
(In the rest of Luzon, it will be hot and a bit humid in some areas but there is still a chance of some isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms especially in the afternoon and evening.)
The entire Visayas and Mindanao will likewise experience the same weather conditions, as well as the forecast chance for rain.
