MANILA, Philippines — Pasay City did not record any additional case of COVID-19 on Saturday, the local government unit (LGU) said as Metro Manila continues to see a decline in new coronavirus infections.

“Good news, Pasayeños! Ayon sa naitalang COVID-19 update kahapon, walang bagong kaso sa ating lungsod (Based on the COVID-19 update yesterday, there was no new case in our city)!” the LGU announced in a Facebook post on Sunday.

Despite this development, the city government reminded its residents to continue to follow health protocols against the spread of coronavirus.

Pasay City has so far recorded 22,010 total cases of COVID-19 as of Saturday, but only 44 cases remain active. Meanwhile, 546 patients have died and 21,420 have recovered.

There are still 4,789 active COVID-19 cases in Metro Manila and 22,070 in the entire country.
