MANILA, Philippines — The Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD) party wants to revoke the certificate of nomination and acceptance (Cona) for Rose Nono Lin, an executive of Pharmally Biological who is eyeing a congressional seat in Quezon City’s fifth district.
The party asked the Commission on Elections to revoke or withdraw the Cona for Lin, whose resignation from the Lakas-CMD on Thursday was accepted.
“Considering the resignation of Ms Lin, Lakas-CMD cannot continue to consider her as an official candidate of the party in the May 9, 2022, national and local elections,” the party said.
Lin, corporate treasurer of Pharmally Biological, told a Senate hearing that she just “found” the expensive cars, including a 2019 Lexus worth P8.8 million, in the family garage. —Julie M. Aurelio
