Active COVID-19 cases among Central Luzon cops shrink to 5

OLONGAPO CITY—The workforce of the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) has only five active cases of COVID-19 left based on the data of its health service office on Thursday, Nov. 18.

One recovery and single new infection were recorded by the PRO3 on the same day. Its number of active cases was cut by more than a half since Nov. 10 after recording more recoveries than new infections.

The PRO3 has also been recording zero new cases since last month, an indication of slow virus spread.

At least 99.47 percent of the 15, 691 personnel of the PRO3 had been inoculated with either the first or second dose of the vaccine against the virus.

Since last year, a total of 2, 939 COVID-19 cases were recorded among the workforce of PRO3, but 2,920 of them have recovered. It reflected a 99.3-percent recovery rate. Its death toll stood at seven.
