ANGELES CITY—Policemen in Porac town arrested on Wednesday a suspected drug peddler who was in hiding for eight years.

In a statement, the Central Luzon police identified the suspect as Christian Alimurong, 39, a construction worker, who was the subject of a warrant of arrest issued by a local court in March 2013 for alleged violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 without recommended bail.

“Alimurong had eluded the arms of the law for more than eight years before his arrest in Pampanga,” the regional police said.

It said the suspect is a member of the Sigue-Sigue Sputnik Gang and was among the most wanted persons in Porac.

Police also arrested on the same day another most wanted person in Porac identified as Darren Manalang, 28.
