Cebu City Mayor Labella dies at 70
CEBU CITY — Cebu City Mayor Edgardo Labella passed away at dawn Friday. He was 70.
His brother Elmer Labella said the mayor died past 3:00 a.m. in a private hospital in the city.
There are no details yet as to what caused his death.
Labella has been battling pneumonia early this year and was diagnosed with sepsis.
Some personalities who are close to Labella posted condolences to the mayor’s family in their social media accounts.
