Alleged gun runner held in Zambales

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — An alleged gun runner was arrested in nearby San Narciso town on Thursday (Nov. 18) morning, police said.

Col. Romano Cardiño, police provincial director, identified the suspect as Journey Tadeo, 31, a resident of nearby San Marcelino town.

Cardiño said Tadeo was arrested after reportedly selling a loose firearm to an undercover agent during an entrapment operation.

Police seized a 12-gauge shotgun, a .38-caliber revolver, ammunition and the marked P1,000 bill.

The suspect was immediately detained and will face criminal charges for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
