BOC, PDEA nab claimant of P3M ecstasy shipment
MANILA, Philippines — Agents of the Bureau of Customs (BOC) and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested on Tuesday a woman who claimed a package containing over P3 million worth of party drugs Ecstasy.
The BOC said the package was declared to contain a “wedding dress” from Germany and was consigned to a certain Heart Valerine Garcia Cruz of Taytay, Rizal.
The illegal drugs were discovered when the package was scanned by X-ray at Ninoy Aquino International Airport. Upon inspection, almost 2,000 tablets of Ecstasy valued at P3,388,100, were found inside the package, the BOC said.
