MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) on Tuesday reported 99 additional deaths due to COVID-19 complications.
According to DOH, the additional deaths brought the sum number of fatalities to 45,808, which is 1.62 percent of the total 2,819,341 confirmed cases of the disease nationwide since 2020.
The DOH logged 128 additional deaths on Monday; 309 on November 14; 238 on November 13; 170 on November 12; and 142 on November 11.
The country, however, still has 25,464 patients with COVID-19. Fifty-nine percent of them have mild cases, 5.9 percent were asymptomatic, and 18.61 percent were tagged moderate, 11.5 percent were severe, and 4.9 percent were under critical status, according to DOH data.
On hospital occupancy, 34 percent of intensive care unit beds for COVID patients, 29 percent of isolation beds, 21 percent of ward beds, and 22 percent of ventilators were in use, based on the government’s latest information.
