Pampanga city posts zero COVID-19 cases in 2 days; 20 villages now free of COVID-19
MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga––For two consecutive days, this city did not have new COVID-19 cases amid a downward trend of infections, data from the city government showed.
As of Monday, Nov. 15, the city has only 23 active cases from 115 a month ago.
The city government said 20 of the 27 villages in Mabalacat were now free of COVID-19, while cases continued to decline in the remaining seven villages.
Dapdap village had only six active cases, while Sapang Biabas had five. The other villages with active infections were Dau (4), Mabiga (3), Mawaque (2), Atlu Bola (1), Bundagul (1), and Lakandula (1).
On Monday, this city registered zero recoveries and a single death. The fatality was a resident of Dau.
Article continues after this advertisementSince the pandemic last year, the city government has recorded 7,218 COVID-19 cases. At least 6,968 of these have recovered, while 227 have died.
