3 drug suspects nabbed, P20K shabu seized in Bicol buy-busts

LEGAZPI CITY — Police arrested three suspected drug personalities and seized P20,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in separate operations in Camarines Sur and Camarines Norte provinces on Monday, report said Tuesday.

In Naga City, Camarines Sur, Police Master Sergeant Tobias Bongon, city police spokesperson, said Mara Mikee Aven, 28, was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Sabang at around 8:10 p.m.

Aven was included in the illegal drugs watch list in the Bicol region.

Police recovered five grams of shabu worth P15,000.

In Barangay Pacol, also in Naga City, Francis Bernales, 51, was also arrested in a separate operation at around 11:20 a.m.

Bongon said Bernales sold a sachet of shabu worth P500 to an undercover agent.

During body search, police confiscated another four sachets of shabu worth P3,000.

In San Vicente town in Camarines Norte, an 18-year-old man identified only by police as Donald was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Jose at around 2:30 p.m.

Police Colonel Julius Guadamor, Camarines Norte police chief, said the authorities recovered four sachets of shabu worth P2,000 from the suspect.
