MANILA, Philippines — Fully-vaccinated healthcare workers may get their booster doses starting Wednesday, Nov. 17, the Department of Health (DOH) said in a statement issued on Monday.

The recommended vaccines for booster doses are US-made vaccines from Moderna and Pfizer and the China-made ones from Sinovac.

“[This is] regardless of the brand used for the primary series,” the DOH said. “Sinovac will also be offered as a booster for those that had Sinovac as primary series.”

DOH said guidelines for the administration of booster shots would be released on Tuesday, Nov. 16, by the National Vaccine Operations Center.
