Palace: 40% of PH's target population now fully vaccinated vs COVID-19

MANILA, Philippines — Some 31.5 million Filipinos or 40.93% of the country’s target population have already been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, Malacañang said Monday.

Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said this figure was as of Sunday, November 14, covering all individuals who have completed the necessary doses of vaccines developed to address the COVID-19 pandemic.

Roque also said that at least 38.1 million Filipinos have already received one vaccine dose and that the total number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered so far has reached 69.7 million.

Specifically, the Palace official said at least 9 million Filipinos were vaccinated in Metro Manila, accounting for 92.12% of the target population while 100% of the target population in the region have received at least one dose.

Roque also said the government was able to administer one million jabs per day for three consecutive days last week.

To boost COVID-19 vaccinations, the government is set to hold a three-day national vaccination drive from November 29 to December 1 aiming to inoculate 5 million people a day or 15 million individuals during the period.
