MANILA, Philippines – Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) will prevail in most parts of the country on Monday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
The state weather bureau, in its early morning update, said the ITCZ will affect Palawan, Sorsogon, Masbate, the Visayas, and Mindanao.
Meanwhile, the shear line will bring cloudy skies and rain showers to Batanes and Cagayan.
The rest of the country, including Metro Manila, will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the northeast monsoon.
Pagasa likewise warned that northern Luzon will have moderate to rough coastal waters with a waves of from 1.2 to four meters high.
Sea conditions elsewhere will be slight to moderate with waves of form 0.6 to 2.1 meters.
