Retired PNP chief Eleazar files candidacy for senator via substitution
MANILA, Philippines — Retired Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Guillermo Eleazar filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) for senator via substitution on Monday.
Eleazar, who is running under presidential the ticket of presidential aspirant Sen. Panfilo Lacson’s Partido Reporma, personally lodged his COC at the Commission on Elections (Comelec) office in Intramuros, Manila.
He substituted for PWD advocate Paolo Capino, who withdrew his candidacy over the weekend.
