Hundreds of Isko Moreno supporters gather for ‘Walk for Hope’ in Cebu
CEBU CITY – Around 600 people gathered near the first Mactan Bridge in Cebu early Sunday morning to express their support for the presidential bid of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.
The activity dubbed as “Walk for Hope” was organized by different groups led by the Isulong Ang Serbisyo Katawhang Organisado (ISKO), an affiliate of President ISKO Movement Isulong Kapakanan ng Pilipino or PRIMO – ISKO, Isko Moreno (IM), YORME ng Pilipinas, and ISKO Ta Bai.
“We believe in his competence, style of leadership, and efficient service. He is the only candidate who can relate to the plight of the poor, being once a kargador and basurero,” said Edward Ligas, the lead convenor.
The multi-sectoral alliance will go around Cebu and the entire Visayas to consult sectoral stakeholders across the region to come up with their vision where everyone is included, especially the marginalized.
“What matters most is people” Ligas said. “With the people and Isko, together, there is hope for the country.”
