5 nabbed, shabu worth P102k seized in Albuera, Leyte drug den
ORMOC CITY––Authorities arrested five persons and seized 15 grams of shabu (methamphetamine) with a street value of P102,000 during an operation Tuesday inside a suspected drug den in Barangay Tabgas, Albuera town, Leyte.
Dante Alao, Neil Magdadaro, Mario Mandras, Mervin Mandras, and Marlon Mandras face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The target of the operation was Alao, the alleged maintainer of the drug den.
Alao, in an interview, denied the allegations against him.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said they received information about Alao’s illegal activities from the Isumbong Mo Kay Wilkins (IMKW) program of PDEA Director General Wilkins Villanueva.
The PDEA said it took them a month to conduct surveillance operations against Alao.
