PDEA nabs 5 in Angeles City drug bust

ANGELES CITY – Two drug suspects on the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency’s (PDEA) watch list and three other individuals were arrested inside a suspected drug den in Barangay Balibago here on Thursday.

In a statement, the PDEA-Region 3 identified the “watch-listed” suspects as Darwin Fernando, 23, and Corazon Biacolo, 26, both residents of this city.

The suspects were arrested after transacting with an undercover agent for small sachet of “shabu” (crystal meth).

When other PDEA operatives and members of the local police barged into the suspected drug den, they also spotted and  arrested the three other persons.

PDEA-Region 3 said six sachets of suspected shabu weighing 15 grams with street value of P102,000, assorted drug-using paraphernalia and the buy-bust money were confiscated from the suspects.

A formal complaint for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspects.
