P600K marijuana seized from 2 students in Bataan
MARIVELES, Bataan — Two students were arrested after they yielded five kilos of dried marijuana leaves worth P600,000 during a buy-bust operation conducted by the local police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency at Barangay San Isidro in this town on Thursday (Nov. 11).
Investigators identified the suspects as Challikis Katoken, 23, and Kari Briggs Gile, 23, both from Baguio City.
Also confiscated from the duo were four pieces of live ammunition for a 9mm pistol and their car.
The suspects were detained at the Mariveles municipal jail while charges were being readied against them for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
