Pampanga drug suspect falls; over P2M shabu seized

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga – Operatives from the police regional and provincial drug enforcement units arrested a a drug suspect who yielded some P2 million worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) during a buy-bust operation in Minalin town on Wednesday.

In a statement, Central Luzon acting police director Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay said operatives arrested Noraya Ampaso, 30, a vendor from Angeles City, after she allegedly sold P10,000 worth of shabu to an undercover police officer.

Baccay said seven  sachets of shabu weighing 305 grams and with an estimated street value of over P2,000,000 were allegedly confiscated from the suspect.

The marked money used in the operation was also recovered.

He said the suspect is facing a formal complaint for violation of sections 5 and 11 of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
