PNP logs fewer COVID-19 infections daily

MANILA, Philippines — COVID-19 cases in the Philippine National Police continued to drop, with only six new cases logged on Monday from previous highs of over 200 new cases daily.

The 124th PNP fatality recorded on Monday was a 35-year-old police officer in Western Mindanao who died on Oct. 17 from COVID-19.

The six new COVID-19 cases tallied on Monday was the lowest since the pandemic started last year. The daily numbers peaked at over 200 early this year.

The PNP has recorded 42,022 COVID-19 cases with 41,598 recoveries. There are currently 300 active COVID-19 cases and 124 deaths.
