Prepare for traffic build-up this weekend, DPWH advises public

MANILA, Philippines—The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) on Friday advised the public to expect a build-up of traffic in some areas in Metro Manila as they will continue with the road improvement from 10 p.m. of February 24 (Friday) to 4 a.m. of February 27, 2012 (Monday):

Affected areas are the following:

• Taft Avenue (Cluster), Pasay City, from Sto. Niño St. to EDSA under supervision of South Manila Engineering District Office (SMED).
• Aurora Boulevard (Southbound), Pasay City from EDSA to Aurora Bridge under supervision of South Manila Engineering District.
• New Panaderos St., Sta. Ana, Manila, from Sta. Ana Church to Lamayan St. under supervision of South Manila Engineering District.
• South Superhighway (South Bound) from Zobel Roxas St. to Quirino Avenue under South Manila Engineering District.
• Manila East Road (Rosario to Cainta Road), Pasig City, Eastbound and Westbound under First Metro Manila Engineering District (FMMED).
• EDSA, Caloocan City, Northbound lane going to Monumento, 4^th lane from center island, between G. De Jesus and Tirona St. under supervision of Third Metro Manila Engineering District (TMMED).
• C-3 Road, Navotas City (Eastbound from North Bay Blvd. To C-3 Bridge under supervision of Malabon Navotas District Engineering Office (MNDEO).
• Fairview Avenue, 2^nd lane Northbound from Marlboro St., to Puregold Market under supervision of Quezon City First Engineering District (QCFED).
• Batasan (Eastbound) from IBP to San Mateo Road under supervision of Quezon City First Engineering District Office.
• EDSA, Quezon City, Northbound 5^th lane from Corregidor to Fema Road under supervision of Quezon City First Engineering District.
• Aurora Boulevard (Eastbound) from 15^th Ave. to 20^th Ave. (one lane only, outer lane) under supervision of Quezon City Second Engineering District (QCSED).
• N. Domingo Street from Banahaw St. to Balete Drive (one lane only) under supervision of Quezon City Second Engineering District.
• Aurora Blvd. Going to EDSA, 1^st lane from sidewalk, between Driod St., and C. Benitez St. under supervision of Quezon City Second Engineering District.
• P. Tramo Avenue between Makati Diversion Channel and EDSA (center lane) under supervision of Second Metro Manila Engineering District (SMMED).
• Gil Puyat Avenue between South Super Highway & Dian St. (center lane) under supervision of Second Metro Manila Engineering District.
