MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health recorded 690 more COVID-19 variant cases, Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire reported Monday.
The latest run, conducted on November 6, comprised 748 samples which were collected in March, April, May, June, September, and October.
Of the sequenced samples, 651 were found to be Delta variant cases, 22 Alpha variant cases, 15 Beta variant cases, one B.1.617.1 variant case or formerly Kappa, and one B.1.1.318 variant case.
With the additional variant cases, the total of the lineages are 5,982 Delta variant cases, 3,577 Beta variant cases, and 3,128 Alpha variant cases.
The recent run brought the total sequenced samples to 19,389, of which 17,292 were assigned with lineages.
Meanwhile, 1,171 of the sequenced samples were from incoming international travelers.
